I too enjoy the rain, its beauty, and its benefits to nature. Unfortunately, the downpours over the past few days have taken quite a toll on the plant and animal life in Rockbridge County. Flooding has overrun wooded and paved areas alike. I'm not one to complain often about this wet gift from the sky, but I'm currently asking for it to cease...at least until the plants have soaked in a little sun and require moisture again. And until after I've packed up my car and returned to Blacksburg without completely saturating my belongings.
