what a glorious nuggetfest!
Yesterday I received permission to celebrate Nuggetfest™ here in Blacksburg. After a conversation with Courtney about the true spirit of the holiday, we decided that my passion for the holiday justified any lenience I felt in taking for celebratory purposes. Specifically, I was unable to procure any chicken nuggets that would not seriously compromise my health (the late-night campus food location here at VT is most-sketch), so I was allowed to replace the chicken tenders with breadsticks.
What a glorious Nuggetfest™ it was as well! Later that night, boredom sent me down to wAJ’s gym. When I returned, I had a voicemail from a crowd of Nuggetfest™ participants in Harrisonburg wishing me the best on my own celebration practices. Thus, once all was said and all was done, I found the real, honest-to-God meaning of Nuggetfest™. Despite not being able to imitate the original search for chicken nuggets late at night like our Nuggetfest™ founding fathers (and…mother…), I was determined to share in the spirit the holiday originally invited.
And now it is Halloween. What’s left to celebrate? Meh…
I watched a lot of ATHF this weekend and only completed a minimal amount of my homework. Ugh, today’s gonna be rough. Not nearly as rough, though, as contemplating actually eating chicken nuggets from DXpress.
::shudders::
I confess. I just now realized my clocks are wrong. Arg.
