bees all a-buzz
Bargain karma. No better way of putting it. This afternoon, in an attempt to free ourselves from the bondages of Blacksburg and homework, Abigail and I went to Christiansburg for some light shopping. Not only were regular discounts abundant, but at nearly every stop along the way we were greeted with major discounts. Major discounts. I’m talking about a two dollar venti Frappucino. How did that happen? I’m not sure either, but it was intense. The new Björk cd for $5? absolutely! A grand afternoon.
However, such events had to have been preluded.
This morning I ran. I sweated in the 55 degree Fahrenheit weather. Somehow the human body reacts more so to internal conditions rather than the external world; seems almost contradictory when you consider most of our ceaseless whining stems from external dissatisfaction. Anyways…a little Fight Club moment.
Then I walked downtown for a haircut. A wonderful haircut…as a matter of fact. Then a stop to check out the latest music that I’ve missed.
Nearly immediately after that adventure was my ISE group lab meeting. Much more successful than last Saturday’s; partially due to the increased clarity of assignment, partially due to less red tape to wade through. Went well.
Then was the C-burg interlude.
Afterwards, I made cookies. I made cookes. If I were a Pampers kid, I could demand praise cause ‘I’m a big kid now.’ I’ll just keep telling myself that.
Ugh, but tomorrow is my work day. Day O’ H-Work. Every subject needs to be attended to, every class an assignment. I’m ready.
