up in my bweez-NASS

Mayhaps, it be best to summarize from plot one, yet methinks I begin from now…perchance.

Today was heavy in terms of work load. Yet, it wasn’t bad. I came home exhausted, really exhausted, but I felt good. Why? I figured it out. ::bells ringing:: I am able to enjoy my job because I see the results of my work. My last job, scanning at Framatome, was simply me taking care of business that no one else wanted to do, or had time to do; I scanned and scanned and saved and backed up old, dilapidated documents human hands had not touched for decades. Mowing etc. at Centra Health is fulfilling. I see the goal and plans and am also able to witness the grand finis. Thus, methinks this summer won’t be as bad as I worried it perchance would be.

Last night I went to the JF spring concert. It was great to see so many people again and also watch another class of JF band students walk the stage for the last time. Sentimentality, reminiscing, emotion…oh yeah…lots of that last night.

Beginning the day that ended in some fine arts, I spent it at Lynchburg General, rather than Baptist, helping the rest of the crew mulch. And mulch. Our lunch was free, provided thanks to lunch-on-the-lawn with other Centra Health employees. So while hundreds of patients were left unattended, we all partied out in a central garden/lawn. Actually, the security cameras were on heightened alert while we were absent. Our eating pleasure was equally heightened thanks to a hired dj who sang back-to-back Frank Sinatra’s “The from New York, New York” and James Brown’s “I Feel Good.” Somehow his voice was able to tailor both contrasting songs well. Anyways.

Tonight there’s a good chance I’ll relax after a stop by Blue Ridge.
