chocolate fish ice cream with caramel
Friday night some of Abigail’s friends went out to get ice cream. They brought back the requests people had made. Abigail requested this one type of Ben & Jerry’s ice cream with chocolate fudge, caramel, marshmallows, and these chocolate fish embedded into the mix. Woah. Woah! That is the best ice cream ever. Apart from homemade, vanilla ice cream, that is. So yeah, I liked Friday night.
I must, however, explain my reason for splurging with that wonderful bliss of iced cream: I had just gotten out of my Physics 2305 test. This would imply that my week of studying, sleepless nights, and my horribly restless Friday afternoon was over. Thus, I had ice cream. This also means that I missed valuable laying-out-in-the-sun time on Friday afternoon as well (70 degF weather was nice). That last loss made me angry, but the ice cream was my reward. And the test wasn’t that hard anyways.
Saturday was spent en locatione in Roanoke. Lucy, Maggie, Abigail and I went to Valley View Mall for the afternoon. That was great fun. I got some shirts from Express (The Sale) and a shirt at the GAP. After our slightly fruitful attempts at finding good deals (and good clothes) we left for some dinner. Our wait was moderate, but our service exquisite. A lady from my MultiVar class was our waitress. So she gave us endless supplies of breadsticks. Infinite breadsticks.
Next was a random run to B&N for some Starbucks. Then an even more impulsive decision to go see Starsky & Hutch. Perhaps in a tie with Zoolander, S&H is the best Stiller & Wilson film. And it’s always nice to somehow add in the original characters themselves for sentimental value. Definitely a DVD buy; but I also need to get Zoolander too…
I have made a point to myself that I need to be more diverse in my blogging to appease more than myself with this journalling. The clear reason why my self-correspondence has become so staple is that I haven’t been carrying around my Clié to note what other topics I want to mention during blogs. I.E. things that get discussed in class, things that people mention off-hand, etc. and the like. So I will be sure to throw my handheld in my backpack on my daily routine. Sounds good.
And this week will be the launch of the new site. Sorry for delays, but I do need to study for tests and such.
I’ve also made note that I need to get a haircut. I have quickly discovered a distaste for long hair on me. On the contrary, however, I have a new love for Ben Jerry’s ice cream, and will make more notes, both mental and physical, to keep a close stock of it on hand.
