everywhere i go

Thursday, January 22nd, 2004

By far, daily, recurringly everywhere I go I see someone with an iPod. This makes me happy :) Plus along the way, I’ve been able to dispel some rumors people have that the iPod can only hold music purchased from the iTunes Music Store. I feels good. It’s great that Apple released iTunes for Windows; what a difference it has since made. But I’m the only one I’ve seen so far with an exo2 ::check me out::

I’m kind of sad to see Howard “The Mean Machine” Dean lose his brownie points after his brazenspeech…late Monday evening. It would have been exciting to have a complete lunatic for president. I mean, wouldn’t you just feel…comforted…with a narcissist at the helm of the most powerful country in the world? I know I would. Actually, it’s good to see the guy go. A quick and painless, although, in this case, shameful, political death is often the most desired. Even if it is over a one-time foolish remark. Remember Lott? Wait…what am I talking about? Political death is by far, discounting the fears of natural death, the most feared death of them all…right? And why do I keep posing rhetorical questions?

Ugh, it’s been a long day. I need me some joebeans.

New site design in two, count em.. 2, weeks.

Oh how could I forget?! I bought 3 songs from the iTunes Music Store today. My first song purchased: John Mayer with “Neon” live from the Chicago Arena or something. I ’tis really happy.

The first days of my freshman spring semester are over. The first few days…

My classes thus far don’t pose many challenges although Physics, MultiVar Calc, and my labs looking daunting. Especially Physics aka that-other-engineering-freshmen-dropout class. My professors seem rather adaquate, or at least coherent…maybe just existent… Actually I have no true complaints.

Everyone must check out Bryan’s fab Garageband product. I definitely now cannot wait even more to switch; senior year here I come! Plus my EF professor, the same as last semester (I made sure of that), cheers on my hopes at purchasing a Mac because she too switched recently and enjoys the benefits of her 12″ PB.

Yeah, I’m trying to keep focus here. I’m currently at Bollo’s having a raspberry mocha latte. Woah; I like.

So yeah, I started and have nearly finished my new design. The amazing part of that is that I did it all in one sitting. I kind of got a weak inspiration that I forced to sprout into results. It needs some mods, but other than that I’m happy.

Ok I’m totally losing my train of thought. Back to my reading.

Back in VATech. I have my books, my desk is rearranged, and I’m more mentally prepared than last semester. Lookin’ good, good lookin’.

Thursday night I met up with Jeremiah for some coffee/icecream at Mustard Seed. An intuitive chat commenced. He left that night for H-Vegas where he would then have tons o’ fun with Bryan and Adam. So I will thus see him next in…June I suppose. Well, at least we had some great times together over break. Good times.

Friday was my last day of work. It wasn’t bad at all. In fact, thanks to Shannan, I ate away my morning with homemade bread ::drool::. And the afternoon went by rather quickly as I copied all of my files into backup. Yeah.

Friday night was spent with Allison and Tabitha. We spent lots of time Drowsy. Apparently, my mocha espresso was too ‘bitter’ so they had to eat away the chaos with a vanilla shake. Whatever. But we had a great time and we gave each other our Christmas presents. Good timing eh? So thanks to them, I am now sporting one a go-go belt buckle :)

Saturday was my travels over here. And now I’m here. Unpacked and such. Dinner with Abigail at The Cellar. Mexican pizza. Great. Bollo’s coffee. Hazelnut mocha. Good to be back at Tech.

Today was spent finalizing my preparedness for classes. Um…and they are pretty much finalized. So yeah.

Here goes.

Sometime I’ll put up a new design. ..sometime..

What a crazy day it has been. Where are all the wild things?

I like Bryan’s new layout. And Adam posing with his new shirt is quite nice. I must note, however, that it was I who found the hottt (yes, that’s a triple t) shirt at H&M. But both Adam and I bought the shirt because it was too amazing to pass up. So yeah.

Not much to mention. My last day of work is tomorrow. Jeremiah leaves tomorrow. I go back to Tech on Saturday. This time I won’t be hauling tons of dust-gathering, unused things around. Which is good.

But there’s one thing I can’t forget.

How could I forget?

It would be a fool of me to forget…

Happy Birthday Jeremiah!!! wOOt! Enjoy your day.

sassy coffee, no really

It has been a rather normal yet entertaining last couple of days. Let me jump back to Sunday though.

Sunday afternoon, of course, I returned with J from H-burg. That night we met up with Rianna to go see Dino Kartsanakis (Grammy winner for ‘Chariots of Fire’) in concert at TRBC. Besides the fact that he is an ‘entertainer’ in Branson, MO, it was an OK show. Although he did skip a lot of his more musically brilliant pieces to play hymns and such…but I made it through alive. Then us, we, met up with Sherrie for some Starbucks.

Monday was work. I trained the new guy to take my place and he will return on Thursday for a first hand shot at it himself. Nice.

And I have officially switched hair-holding products. No longer will I be restrained by the likes of Dep hair goods. Now I’ve sold my northern pole to L’oreal Remix Paste. After trying some in H-burg, thanks to Adam, I was duly impressed with its capabilities. So, I’ve switched.

Also I’ve listened to the entire The Postal Service cd Give Up. I must say, I am wholly amazed at the quality of this cd. On the way back from D.C. we listened to part of it in the car; but I was in such a dazed and tired state that I didn’t swallow much of its goodness at that time. So another listen while at work allowed me to intake quite a healthy portion of awe. I do like. Very nice.

Thus, tonight Jeremiah and I went to see Rianna and Sherrie at JoeBeans Express Espresso. A nice place. My first visit this was. Great coffee…and it’s a convenient drive-through at a most convenient area.

Yeah. So 3 more days of work.
