through the night

Obviously back from MD and now I am located in VT awaiting yet another week of smothering work.

The MD trip went well. The 50th anniversary party for my grandparents went very well also; I enjoyed that much, plus the food…ooooh the food. And equally, spending time with the other side of my family (relatives I mean) was great too. My Nana, grandmother, I believe deserves some sort of recognition because she reads my site often. *goldstar* :)

So Saturday night I called up Adam and we decided to go see a horrible film. The last time we got together we saw The Core, nearly the worst movie ever I have witnessed. This time we checked out House Of The Dead. The slogan says [we] ‘won’t last the night’ although I figured I’d have a hard enough time lasting the entire length of the film. Seriously, this movie fails in acting, cinematography, and all courses of production. Adam and I noted that they used several imitation actors that look like very famous actors. For example, this guy looks like Tom Cruise from Minority Report but acts thousands of times more poorly than the real Cruise himself. And this one has a striking resemblance to Orlando Bloom. ::tsk tsk:: Anyways, it was definitely worth the penny change to enjoy a good laugh. I must say, this movie is awful.

Then we chatted over coffee about geeky things. Like Apple, Bluetooth, and WiFi. We both admitted our unwilling respect for Dell in their solid structure and firm tech support, although it’s still Windows (again, I’ll say it, if you want Windows…get Dell…but if you want freedom…I find it not necessary to even finish that last statement due to the glaringly obvious) So after a while of chatting we went to his car to admire…well for me to admire…his iPod’s new case. I am officially jealous.

And then today after arriving in Blacksburg I eventually got around to calling Dell about a driver problem I’ve been having. After approximately an hour on the phone they diagnosed it and told me how to fix it. Now it is fixed. I am impressed once again. Although, had I a Mac, none of this would have happened. But still…what are you gonna do?

Now I must finish this blog to go meet Abigail from her travels. *yay*
