bursting thoughts

It’s definitely too early for me to be writing a blog, but I had a thought and wanted to write it down on lcd.

This morning I had a song in my head and it took me about 2 minutes to realize it was something from the Rock N’ Roll Worship Circus, a very modern Christian praise band. Their music is a nice alternative to the tired hymns of the church, so that’s a plus. Their personalities are incredible as well, as I have met them at a workshop at the Creation Festival last year. However, they are as goth as gothic can be. Yet everyone absolutely adored their shows both years I’ve been at Creation. I loved them! It is just sad to me that they are one of those struggling artists that make it from album to album from the seats of their 15 passenger Ford Econoline. If their image wasn’t stereotyped in the ‘Christian world’ as evil and deviant, then they would be selling albums like those famous things called ‘hot cakes.’ I really despise cliches, especially when they tend to root themselves in the ignorance of people from the church who are afraid to experience themselves in this wonderfully diverse society of America. Regardless I still buy their albums and merch, loving them all the way. This purely family friendly band deserves more than this. They better come by VT soon, my RRWC cravings are getting uncontrolable!

Yeah, so that’s my blog. Maybe I’d like to mention that post-EF-class I started talking to a classmate who had iTunes on his (wintel) laptop. Then my EF prof chimed in saying that she adores Apple over windows. She said she’s getting a 12″ Powerbook this Friday after Panther is released. How kewl! Now I really need to get my iPod.

Tonight should be fun.
