spring

It’s been a long weekend, and it has yet to finish actually, but I’ll start with the basics.

Our drought that lasted several years is nearing its end. We’ve gotten so much rain and snow in the last couple months that things have definitely bounced back. And one of those things that I really appreciate is green grass. There’s something about it that just screams energy, as if spring would not be spring without the plushness that it offers.

Saturday I went to GAP. GAP is my fashion heaven, that is until I move from L-Burg and go to a true mall and become familiar with even more fashionable stores.

Saturday night I went to the Jars of Clay, Caedmon’s Call, and Glassbyrd concert. I enjoyed it. I honestly only wanted to see GB and Caedmon’s because I’d seen Jars before and wasn’t quite feeling above the weather to withstand another hour+ of loud music, but I stayed the whole time. It was the first time I had seen Caedmon’s Call before and I was just so amazed. They take acoustic/folk rock to a level of excitement that amazes me. Not to mention incredible auxiliary percussion work. So, still standing, Caedmon’s is probably my favorite Christian artist. I had fun last night.

And this morning I went to TRBC with Rianna. In my search for new beliefs and church orientations I decided I wanted to go to the famous Thomas Road for a week. Honestly, I thought it was amazing. I’ve never been one for youth groups so I wasn’t impressed nor truly spiritually motivated from that, but the main service (the one that is broadcasted on tv) was incredible. Everything is in such order…and it’s not stale, stagnant, and/or dormant. I guess it’s true that you must experience something before you can cast a practical judgment on it. So anyways, it was a good morning.

I was looking at Sony’s new Clie’s recently and noticed the NZ90. This beast of a machine is just sick. Sick as in almost too much for a PDA but still would make anyone stop and drool while watching someone demonstrate its capabilities. It combines, Palm OS 5, Bluetooth, and a camera. But this isn’t just any camera (for instance the ones on the NX70V or NR70V). Nooooo…this is a 2 Megapixel camera. On a PDA! Check it out, but make sure you keep a tight reign on your credit card because the NZ90 will kill you out of $800!
