truly frightful

I’m not sure exactly the writer of "Let It Snow" but rarely, when it snows, does it get "frightful" outside, unless of course you take into account all of those ignorant drivers who think their Hyundai Sonatas and Chevy Cavaliers are four-wheel drive. That’s something to be scared of.

Monday night was the rec league basketball draft thing. Basically they shoved all 15ish of us onto the middle school court and told us to do a few drills and a small game. Then we were gone. I am on a team properly called "The Dynasty" which I seem to remember a lot from last year. This will be my last rec league of basketball so I might as well get all the "team work" out of it as I possibly can.

Tuesday night was the big Christmas Concert. It was ok. I’m not going to sugarcoat it and say the performances were great because honestly they weren’t. Just as average quality as you can get. Plenty of mistakes, but, regardless, it pleased the parents and staff. I now have firmly decided on my "senior wish." It will be for me to conduct one piece in the Spring Concert. Even if it’s that crazygonuts song "Jungle Fantasy" I won’t mind. But I just want to conduct something for that concert. I can only hope.

Today was a two-hour early dismissal due to the imminent snow. The "downpour" began around 1:30 EST and has continued since. I use "downpour" lightly, obviously. But the weather forecastings all indicate great accumulation over tonight and tomorrow morning. Some even predict 8-10 inches. I’m not sure about that much, but it wouldn’t hurt.
