pageant fun

No movies this weekend. Too many other cool things to worry about.

First, Friday night I went to Ms. JF. Very interesting. I’ve never been to a pageant before, and it was quite the experience. Shout out to Rachel who did fantasticly well!

This morning I woke bright and early for a time at Tech. Open House was from 8:30AM-12:30PM for me; I could have stayed longer but the rest was stuff I already knew. But…I learned a lot of things. Tech obviously supports its students to be fluent not only in Windows but also in the Mac OS’s. They have these "computer labs" everywhere just filled with iMacs, Cube G4s, and PowerMacs. Tech also owns a study facility called the Math Emporium. Literally the size of a grocery store (or more easy to contemplate…a football field) this lab contains, easily, 500 computers: all new iMacs. As far as the eye can see, it’s beautiful. And not to mention the ethernet and wireless compatible buildings everywhere. Sounds like I’ll be applying for early decision; might as well give it a shot.

So I return home from an exhausting day of being thrilled to death, and I find out some particular news… Sony NX70V is now for sale!!!!!!! And….it now is capable of video recording!!! This is too kewl. Somehow I need to keep myself from diving into this so fast (or maybe I should pray for a flood of cash at my door). Anyways, it’s some great news from the first Sony Clie running 5.0 OS.
